Speaker 1: Mrs Gill Whittington Banda (CEO of Zuplex Botanicals)
Company background: Zuplex Botanicals is a South African manufacturer of proven active extracts using African botanicals. Zuplex is engaged in the cultivation of botanicals, product research and development, and the manufacturing of extracts. Their market focus is on cosmetic and nutraceutical extracts, but they do research and product development in other sectors such as flavour and food.
Speaker 2: Mrs Portia Matamela (Founder of Letago pharmaceuticals)
Company background: Letago Pharmaceuticals was founded in 2015 by Portia Phuti Hlako Matamela who is a registered Pharmacist [SA]. The company aims to manufacture and commercialise complimentary pharmaceutical products making use of South Africa’s indigenous medicinal plants. Letago Pharmaceuticals is currently incubated by the Innovation Hub in Pretoria.
Speaker 3: Mrs Bianca Payne (Fibrich) (Co-founder of Blyde Botanics)
Company background: Blyde Botanics is a plant extract manufacturer focused on supplying formulators with scientifically proven, natural actives for acne, ageing and oral care. Their products are scientifically proven with several unique mechanisms to combat each condition, at low concentrations, without irritating the skin or oral cavity.
